Dr Salma Husain
General Practitioner, Female MBBS, DGO, FRACGP
Speaks Arabic, Bengali, and English
Dr Salma Husain MBBS (India, 1993) DGO (Diploma O&G 1997) FRACGP (2022), began working at Uralla Clinic in 2016. Before starting at Uralla, she trained as a GP Obstetrician and in 1997completed DRANZCOG (Advanced). Dr Salma Husain worked as a senior registrar in Saudi Arabia and India before she came to Australia, where she was an RMO at Armidale Hospital. While working here at Uralla she was also a locum Registrar (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) in Tasmania in 2017 and did ongoing locum shifts at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital. Dr Salma currently works part-time at Uralla Clinic and part-time at Armajun Medical Centre in Armidale

Dr Syed Anwar M Ahsan
General Practitioner, Male, MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Syed Ahsan has a background in surgery and emergency medicine before starting at Uralla Clinic. He has been working here since 2015 and also works part time in Armidale as a GP.

Susan McPhee
Registered Nurse, Female, BScN, M.Ad.Clin.Mid.
Speaks English, and French
Susan McPhee is originally from Canada and graduated in Nursing from University of Ottawa in 1981 and in Midwifery from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1985 and Monash University in 2010. She has worked in Canada and Mauritania. After moving to Australia she worked in Campbelltown and Armidale. Susan has now been in Uralla for over five years. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has a special interest in lactation support, and shared ante-natal care. Susan works at the practice on Wednesdays and Thursdays

Admin Staff
Dannielle Batt
Practice Manager, Female, BEd
Dannielle Batt Joined the practice in 2003 after completing a BEd (Hons) at UNE. She has managed the practice for 17 years working with a number of doctors and staff during that time. The current Team have been together for 5 years and work well together. She believes that Management is all about problem solving and she has become pretty good at problem solving over the years
Steph Wooldridge
Receptionist/Admin, Female
Steph Wooldridge completed an Advanced Diploma before beginning work here in 2015. She regularly attends workshops and has a certificate in Medical Terminology from UNE Partnerships. Steph is also an excellent problem solver as our patients know, she is usually the first contact when they phone.
